In a raid carried out in the eastern province of Van, it is reported that four members of the teaching staff at Van Yüzüncüyıl University, one of whom is allegedly responsible for al-Qaeda activities in Van, were detained. The suspect, who was identified as M.E.Y., reportedly recruited university students to join al-Qaeda.
