New York Knicks center Eddy Curry will undergo arthroscopic knee surgery and is expected to be out for approximately six weeks.
Curry will have loose cartilage removed from his left knee and will begin rehabilitation within a week, according to the team web Site (www.nba.com/knicks) on Monday. The oft-injured big man has played just seven games this season and has not lived up to his lucrative contract, averaging just 3.7 points and 1.9 rebounds. The 27-year-old played in a total of three games last year due to injuries and issues with conditioning that kept him out of the team’s rotation.
