Turkish automotive company Otokoç grows by 25 percent in 2009

Turkish automotive company Otokoc grew by 25 percent, reaching a revenue of 1.7 billion USD, in 2009.

Releasing a written statement on Tuesday, the company said that its market share, which was around 7.4 percent in 2008, rose up to 8.5 percent in 2009 with a total sale of 48,850 vehicles.

Otokoç's Director General Gorgun Ozdemir said that Turkish automotive sector grew by 10 percent in 2009 compared to the previous year and Otokoç was the 5th company that sold the highest amount of products in the sector, following Ford, Fiat, Renault and Hyundai.

Otokoç, the first automotive industry investment of Turkey's Koç Holding, was founded in 1928.

With its 15 modern Service Points and 800 employees throughout Turkey, the company offers new car sales, used car services, car rental, loan and insurance solutions, vehicle protection systems and any other kind of consultancy services to its customers.
