Today, Erdoğan is scheduled to deliver a keynote speech at the opening session of the 3rd World Future Energy Summit (WFES) in Abu Dhabi. Later in the day, he is expected to hold talks with UAE Emir Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed al-Nahayan and Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed Zayed Al Nahyan.
Turkey’s Ambassador to the UAE Vural Altay, speaking with the Emirates news agency on the weekend, said Erdoğan’s participation in the WFES further emphasizes Turkey’s commitment to the development of renewable energy and support of global initiatives to adopt clean energy around the world. Altay also emphasized Turkey’s appreciation and support for the UAE’s efforts to promote renewable energy, adding that his country is looking forward to broad and constructive bilateral and international cooperation in this field. While in Abu Dhabi, Erdoğan is expected to hold talks with Greek President Karolos Papoulias on the sidelines of the summit.
Tomorrow, Erdoğan visit in Riyadh to hold talks with Saudi King Abdullah and other senior officials. On Wednesday, the prime minister is scheduled to visit the Jeddah-based Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) and meet with OIC Secretary-General Ekmeleddin İhsanoğlu.
