3 arrested, 21 sent to court in KCK probe

Three of the six people recently detained in a police operation targeting Kurdish Communities Union (KCK) members in the eastern province of Bingöl were arrested yesterday.
The six suspects had been detained over charges that they were involved in Molotov cocktail attacks in Bingöl and for promoting the outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK). In Van, 21 university students were detained earlier this week for trying to force other students to join the KCK, which allegedly functions as the urban arm of the PKK.
