Doğan Holding and Doğan Yayın Holding will be run by professional managers in the new period under the chairmanship of Arzuhan Doğan Yalçındağ, who will be stepping down from her position heading the Turkish Industrialists and Businessmen’s Association (TÜSİAD) on Jan. 21, 2010.
In a statement on Wednesday, the Doğan Group said the administrative structure of the company will be “simplified.”
“The family members will transfer their executive activities in the Doğan Group companies in the next six months to professional CEOs and will continue working as chairmen within the same companies. Moreover, in addition to their non-executive tasks, the members of the Doğan family will possess a seat on the holding’s managerial board and will hold a responsibility in the strategic development of the group as a whole, its future design and its consolidated performance,” the statement read.
