Celtic scored a goal in each half to beat Hamilton 2-0 and keep the pressure on Rangers at the top of the Scottish Premier League.
Glenn Loovens volleyed in from a 14th-minute corner kick and Celtic missed a series of chances to make the game safe before substitute Niall McGinn hit a 20-meter shot in injury time past goalkeeper Tomas Cerny. The victory preserved an unbeaten home record against Hamilton stretching back to 1939. Celtic now has 36 points, just one fewer than the defending champions. But Rangers could restore its four-point advantage if it wins at third-place Hibernian on Sunday. Also, fourth-place Dundee United drew 0-0 with Kilmarnock in its first match since manager Craig Levein left to take over the Scotland national side, fifth-place Hearts won 1-0 at Falkirk and St. Johnstone won 3-1 at Motherwell.
