Suspected taxi robbers arrested in İstanbul

Two people suspected of stealing TL 860 and four mobile phones from four cab drivers in the last 10 days were caught during their latest attempt yesterday.
Ferit G. (29) and Ulaşdan Y. (22) were caught yesterday by police teams in a taxi. The police teams had sketches drawn of the two suspects according to descriptions from the four taxi drivers who had been robbed at knifepoint. The thieves ordered the cab drivers to go to İstanbul’s Esenyurt district and to hand over their cell phones and money. After being questioned at the Esenyurt police station, the suspects were sent to the Büyükçekmece courthouse and are currently in jail.
