LÖSEV dismisses fraud claims about sacrificial animals

The Foundation of Children with Leukemia (LÖSEV) in a written statement issued on Monday dismissed claims that the foundation did not sacrifice animals on Eid al-Adha (Feast of the Sacrifice) for which it had collected money from donors.
Many Muslims choose to donate money to charitable organizations to sacrifice an animal on their behalf for the religious holiday, which commemorates Prophet Abraham’s willingness to sacrifice his son. The LÖSEV statement notes that all slaughtering took place according to established regulations followed by all organizations that collect money to slaughter animals on donors’ behalf.
