Konyans back on top of Bank Asya League 1

Konyaspor, relegated from the Turkcell Super League to the Bank Asya League 1 last season, has regained the lead it lost the weekend before last, beating visiting İzmir side Altay 2-0 in Saturday’s top-of-the-table clash at Atatürk Stadium.
Konyaspor had dropped to third place after being beaten 3-2 away by Giresunspor in week 16. But goals by Branimir Poljac in the 30th minute and Yusuf Kurtuluş (68th) in their week 17 encounter ensured that the Konyans remained one of the candidates for promotion to the Super League next season. Other results on Saturday: Karşıyaka 2, Boluspor 1 and Kartalspor 1, Giresunspor 1.
