Four cars set aflame in capital

Four parked cars were torched by an unidentified person in Ankara’s Cebeci district yesterday.
The perpetrator fled the scene after noticing that residents of nearby apartments had seen him. The burning vehicles were extinguished by passersby before any exploded. Police teams arrived at the scene of the crime after the incident and began searching for the person responsible, who is thought to be a 40-to-45-year-old male, according to eyewitness descriptions. The container used to carry the accelerant was found and impounded by the police. The owner of one of the targeted vehicles stated that he did not see who had set fire to the cars and noted that after his daughter told him their car had been set afire he came and extinguished the fire.
