‘L’uomo che ama’ The Man Who Loves)
Roberto (Pierfrancesco Favino) is a pharmacist emotionally attached to his younger brother, the homosexual Carlo (Michele Alhaique). Witnessing Carlo’s happiness with lover Yuri (Glen Blackhall), Roberto feels extremely envious. Though Roberto has proven himself capable of landing successful relationships in the past, these relationships invariably ended in heartbreak, with Roberto either being dumped or abandoning his partner. In time, he begins to feel a palpable sense of his own lingering unhappiness and dissatisfaction and attempts to reconcile this with his convictions that everyone else in the world is completely satisfied with life.

He gains unprecedented support from offside opponents in Germany, France, Italy, Portugal and particularly Lichtenstein. And one day, he receives a letter from the UEFA administration…
