Following Libya, Qatar and Syria, Turkey is expected to eliminate visa requirements with Jordan during President Abdullah Gül’s visit to the country in early December, sources close to the presidency have reported.
President Gül will pay a visit to Jordan in December to boost economic and trade relations between the two countries. The countries will sign a free trade agreement (FTA) to attract more investments to both countries and to remove trade barriers. Scores of businessmen are also expected to accompany the president during his visit. In addition to attempts to improve trade relations, Turkey will also announce the removal of visa requirements between the two countries based on an informal agreement.
