‘Merchant of Venice’ to take stage at Sabancı

Shakespeare’s play “The Merchant of Venice” (Venedik Taciri in Turkish), which is about an unusual contract between a Christian and a Jewish merchant, will be staged at İstanbul’s Sakıp Sabancı University Show Center (SGM) on Dec. 1.
Directed by Nesrin Kazankaya, the play reflects Venice with its carnivals, music, masks and money exchange. Tickets, priced at TL 5 and TL 10, can be purchased from Biletix.
