Jobless Aragones looking for new job

19 November 2009 / AP, MADRID
Former Spain and Fenerbahçe coach Luis Aragones has put his name into the coaching market, saying he is looking for a new job.
Aragones, who led Spain to the 2008 European Championship title, has said he wants to work again after being fired by İstanbul club Fenerbahç at the end of last season after only one year with the club. The 71-year-old Aragones said he was physically and mentally well and would likely coach abroad. He dismissed the likelihood of replacing Real Madrid coach Manuel Pellegrini, but said if the opportunity there became available “you can’t say no.” Aragones formerly coached Atletico Madrid and Real Betis after a successful playing career.
