Mavitan’s ‘sculptures to hang on a wall’ on display

A new collection by famous Turkish artist Bihrat Mavitan is on view at the Selvin Art Gallery in İstanbul’s Arnavutköy district.
The 61-year-old artist, a career sculptor who graduated in 1973 from the prestigious İstanbul State Academy of Fine Arts, showcases his newest set of unique works, which he calls “sculptures to hang on a wall,” in the exhibit, scheduled to run through Dec. 12. The gallery is open 11 a.m.-7 p.m. from Tuesday to Saturday.
