High-speed train derails in Eskişehir: No casualties

A high-speed train derailed in the Central Anatolian province of Eskişehir on Friday, with no reported casualties.
Two cars of the high-speed train, traveling from Ankara to Eskişehir, derailed near Eskişehir’s Hasanbey village some 10 kilometers from the provincial capital. Ambulances were dispatched to the area, and passengers were evacuated before being taken to downtown Eskişehir.

There were 245 passengers on the train. Officials from Turkish State Railways (TCDD) say the train derailed while switching tracks. Transportation Minister Binali Yıldırım said it was a minor incident and that there was no need to worry. Eskişehir Governor Mehmet Kılıçlar visited the site of the accident.
