A high-speed train derailed near a central Anatolian Turkish province on Friday.
There were no immediate reports of casualties. Two cars of a high-speed train traveling from the capital Ankara to the central province of Eskişehir derailed near Eskişehir's Hasanbey village some 10 kilometers from the provincial center. Ambulances have been dispatched to the area, and passengers are being evacuated and being taken to downtown Eskişehir. According to preliminary reports, there are no dead or injured people in the train accident; there were 245 passengers on the train. Officials from the Turkish State Railways Administration (TCDD) say that the train derailed while switching tracks.
