Details are important on these cardigans, which carry more than a few memories from the past. Some of the models this season have deep-cut shawl necks, while others have double-breasted looks. Some feature buttons, placed close together. And the same pockets that our granddads would hand out candy or spare change from are still there in this new generation of cardigans. Look for wooden/fabric buttons on most of these cardigans -- we didn't really see any metallic buttons being used.
As for color schemes, these popular seasonal cardigans are appearing in lots of grey tones as well as beige and military green. One other notable feature of these cardigans is that their collar design tends to make the neck and body appear longer than they really are. A warm, thickly woven cardigan pairs up beautifully with winter pants, and in fact can be the finishing touch for a very chic outfit. Perfect for chilly winter weekends, and works wonderfully with jeans as well.
Natural fibers
There are also some asymmetric cuts and less classic looks in cardigans available this season, for men who wish to stray further from the more traditional features of this re-designed favorite from the past. As well as wool and mercerized cotton blends, there are a range of other natural fibers being used in these seasonal pieces, from bamboo fiber to thread made from nettle plants; these all have the extra feature of being very soft and completely natural, of course.
