Members of the Freundeskreis Herforder Bismarckturm (Herford Circle of Friends of the Bismarck Tower) from the town of Herford in North Rhine-Westphalia plan to use culture and art to promote Manavgat, their sister town in Antalya, in various European countries.
Herford Circle of Friends of the Bismarck Tower head Peter Bubig has said his group plans to get the word out in neighboring nations regarding the historical and natural beauty of Manavgat.

Bubig also stated that his group wants to cooperate and coordinate with civil society organizations from Manavgat in addition to setting up reciprocal visits and maintaining a flow of dialogue, adding that they have researched and photographed Manavgat in preparation for a book they plan to put together about the town.

Bubig noted that they will spend a week in Manavgat in the near future in order to collect many photographs of the region, starting with the ancient archaeological site of Side.

“Across the world, we are known as the largest of any Circle of Friends of the Bismarck Tower. There are 576 personnel actively working in our association. We would like to see our association promote the historical and natural beauty of Manavgat throughout other European countries by holding a series of cultural and artistic events,” Bubig said.
