A musical tribute for Dizzy Gillespie in İstanbul

Jazz great John Birks “Dizzy” Gillespie, one of the greatest trumpet players of all time, will be commemorated with a special concert this weekend at İstanbul's Cemal Reşit Rey (CRR) Concert Hall.
The Dizzy Gillespie All Stars, made up of musicians who shared the same stage with Gillespie for many years throughout his career, such as James Moody on tenor sax, Roberta Gambarini on vocals, Greg Gisbert on trumpet, John Lee on bass, Cyrus Chestnut on piano and Vincent Ector on drums, will be onstage at 8 p.m. on Saturday.
