Week 11 of the Bank Asya League 1 kicks off today with Gaziantep Büyükşehir Belediyespor hosting Adanaspor and Dardanelspor entertaining Hacettepe Spor today.

Gaziantep BşB, which returned home with one point from Bolu last weekend after a hard-fought 0-0 draw with Boluspor, faces a Herculean task against championship contender Adanaspor, which is seventh with 17 points from 10 matches. Gaziantep BşB is 13th with 10 points. So judging from the league standings, Adanaspor is fancied to win, but with the home fans behind it Gaziantep BşB still has a chance. The game, which starts at 1:30 p.m., will be refereed by İlker Meral.

Dardanelspor, a 2-0 away winner over Kocaelispor last weekend, will aim at continuing its winning ways against Ankara’s Hacettepe Spor. Hacettepe, demoted from the Turkcell Super League to the Bank Asya League 1, seems to have happened upon a winning formula recently.

Last weekend Hacettepe beat Kayseri Erciyesspor 4-2 at home despite the fact that the Ankara side completed the match with nine men. Dardanelspor is placed 11th in the league with 12 points and Hacettepe 12th with 11, so it is going to be an encounter between two evenly matched teams. Kickoff is at 1:30 p.m., and the referee will be Taner Gizlenci.
