Turk kills own family in France

A Turkish man residing in the Isere region of France has strangled his two children aged seven and ten, news reports said yesterday.
The 37-year-old man identified as Mustafa Avcı, who resides in the city of Bourgoin-Jallieu, came home, tied up his wife, strangled his children and put the children into the trunk of his car parked outside his home. While this was happening, his wife managed to escape and hid in a neighbor’s home.
The Turkish citizen, who used to make a living with temporary jobs, has more recently been unemployed, the police said. Avcı confessed to having killed his children but did not comment on the reason why.
Although acquaintances said Avcı was generally a quiet man who outwardly appeared to have no problems, they suspected he might have had psychological issues.
