Leader Konyaspor faces tough away match against Rize
25 October 2009 / TODAY'S ZAMAN, İSTANBUL
Third-place Çaykur Rizespor hosts leader Konyaspor today in what is expected to be a mouthwatering Bank Asya League 1 week 10 encounter at the Yeni Rize Stadium.
Undefeated Konyaspor, which won 2-0 at home over Mersin İdmanyurdu last weekend, has 21 points from nine matches and will be aiming to add Rize to its casualty list this evening.
But Çaykur Rizespor is a formidable team. The Black Sea side beat Dardanelspor 1-0 away last weekend and is currently placed third in the 18-team league with 18 points. And Rizespor, backed by its home crowd, will be all out to put an end to Konyaspor's unbeaten run.
