Nobody should try the patience of the Turkish people, and those who want to know what the Turkish people might do in this situation and what should be taken note of need look no further than the history of the national struggle, Bahçeli said. The Turkish people are facing an unprecedented administration crisis, Bahçeli claimed, witnessing embarrassment and betrayal in terms of security. Right under the very eyes of government employees and security forces, welcoming committees are treating PKK members as special guests, and it is as if the authorities responsible for justice are competing to see who will let the PKK operatives out on the street first, he said.
“On top of all this, the vendor of this destruction, the prime minister, is meeting all this happily, announcing that he expects the shameful developments to continue at full speed and is awaiting this with hope. There's no longer anything being hidden or concealed about these events. Everything is before the eyes of the people,” he said.
In a written statement released yesterday, Bahçeli used strong language to condemn the demonstrations, saying they had reached worrisome levels in terms of the national identity, existence and brotherhood.
