Fassbinder's ‘Maria' at İstanbul Goethe Institut

“Die Ehe der Maria Braun” (The Marriage of Maria Braun), German director Rainer Werner Fassbin-der's 1979 film that tells of a German woman married to a soldier in the waning days of World War II, will be screened this Friday at İstanbul's Goethe Institut as part of the center's weekly program.
The 120-minute film, starring Hanna Schygulla, will be shown in its original German with subtitles in Turkish. The showing starts at 7 p.m.
