Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's remarks came after the U.S. Treasury announced it froze the assets of three top members of PKK.
"There is more than that in Europe. Although we explained it to European leaders several times, they are still deaf to it," Erdoğan said. "They say they are against terrorism, they talk about joint fight against terrorism but they do not crack down on it (the terrorist organization) although we have given them names and documents."
The PKK was labeled as a terrorist organization by the United States and the European Union. Turkey, Iraq and the United States have formed a tripartite mechanism to combat PKK terrorists in the north of Iraq where PKK has camps and uses the region as a base to attack Turkey.
Turkey has repeatedly said EU was not doing enough to cut PKK activities and financing in Europe.
"I would like to speak clearly. They even give shelter to those (PKK terrorists) who have been sought with red notice. They harbor those who escaped from my country and they even give them residence permit. Whatever happened to democracy and its understanding of advocacy for freedom?"
