Turkey hopes to see increased investment from Libya

12 October 2009 / TODAY'S ZAMAN WITH WIRES , İSTANBUL
Turkish Foreign Trade Minister Zafer Cağlayan has said Turkey is working to attract a sizeable share of the $100 billion Libya has allocated for investments in the next five years.
Speaking to the Anatolia news agency on Saturday about his talks in Libya, Cağlayan said Libya sought to invest in Turkey. “The more we work, the better chance we have of receiving investments from Libya,” Cağlayan said. Discussing debt Libya owes to Turkish contractors, Cağlayan said there will be positive developments on this matter by the end of the year. Turkey is working to ease mutual visa procedures with Libya, he added.
