Both Turkey and Armenia are making history by taking bold steps to enhance bilateral relations. Specifically, Armenia is standing against the diaspora after many years of submission and recognizes the border with Turkey; this is a huge step considering that the recognition is against its constitution.
An experienced politician, making reference to this occasion, delivers a message to Kurdish politicians: “The step by Armenia should serve as an example for the Kurdish civilian politicians who failed to appreciate the government's efforts towards democratization.” For a brief moment, imagine that this huge step taken by Armenia and Turkey is completed with the recent Kurdish initiative and the remaking of the military-civilian relations as well as a democratic constitution. There will be a whole different Turkey in this case when we take a look from outside the vicious debates of internal politics.
