Turkish contractors plan to exceed 25 billion USD in 2009

Turkish contractors working overseas plan to exceed 25 billion USD with the amount of projects they are involved in.
In 2008, Turkish contractors overseas were working on projects worth 23.6 billion USD.
Between 1972 and 2008, Turkish contractors worked in over 4,600 project worth 136 billion USD in 70 countries.
In 2008, most of the construction projects took place in Turkmenistan, with a value of 5.4 billion USD.
The majority of projects assumed by Turkish contractors overseas were related to the construction of buildings, industrial sites and transportation facilities.
