Chery to enter European markets from Turkey

China's fourth biggest auto maker, Chery, will make a huge investment in Turkey at the end of 2009 and begin auto manufacturing.

The company announced that a ground breaking ceremony would take place for a new factory at the end of 2009. The location of the factory has not been decided yet.

Chery's new factory in Turkey will cost 550 million USD. Once completed, it will employ around 6,000 workers.

Chery intends to manufacture at least 100,000 autos per year at the new factory.
