İstanbul's Ghetto Music Lounge is opening its eagerly anticipated fourth season of live performances tonight with a special party featuring TM Juke, aka Alex Cowan, the well-known DJ-producer and arranger who expertly combines the benefits of his comprehensive musical education with his reactionary love of laptop-based music.
The opening party is a sign of the high-quality selection Ghetto will be offering throughout the season for İstanbul's music lovers, including weekly live gigs by Latin jazz percussionist Ayhan Sicimoğlu and his band, the monthly concert series Amsterdam Night Watch, jazz concerts held in collaboration with the French and German culture institutes in İstanbul and acoustic performances by rock acts, among others. The program will include a diverse selection of genres stretching all the way from pop to jazz, Latin, funk, rock and world to traditional and even electronic music.
