Film by 9-year-old to be shown in Chicago

Nine-year-old Ege Feyzioğlu's award-winning 2008 short film “Sihirli Çubuk” (Magic Wand) will be shown late next month at the 26th annual Chicago International Children's Film Festival.
Feyzioğlu will thus become the first-ever Turkish filmmaker to take part in the Chicago children's film festival. “Magic Wand” will be shown as part of a nine-piece program of short films titled “Make Some Magic,” which is scheduled for Oct. 22-Nov. 1. “Magic Wand” won first place in the Little Filmmakers competition at last year's Sixth İstanbul International Children's Film Festival.
