Bertrand Ivanoff's ‘Rouge' adorns İstiklal Street

16 September 2009 / ,
The outer walls of the French Cultural Institute at the Taksim entrance of İstanbul's İstiklal Street is currently home to French artist Bertrand Ivanoff's neon light installation “Rouge” (Red).
Ivanoff inspired the red neon motifs he created specially for the historical building's walls that face the İstiklal Street from the tulip motif, which is a frequently used pattern in Turkish arts and crafts. “Rouge” will run through Sept. 30.
