Turkish firm completes Turkmen police academy

A Turkish company has completed construction of Turkmenistan's Saparmurat Niyazov Police Academy, which was built in Ashgabat at a cost of some $45 million.
Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhammedov attended the inauguration ceremony on Monday. The building, constructed by Sehil İnşaat, was built on an area of 150,000 square meters and can accommodate 800 students. In related news Turkish Metro İnşaat won a contract for the construction of lodging for Turkmen Defense Ministry personnel, scheduled for completion by August 2010. The Transportation Institute in Ashgabat, also built by Turkish firm the Hayat Group, will open on Tuesday with a ceremony that Berdimuhammedov will attend. Another Turkish contractor, Total İnşaat, has finished work on a school that has a 600-student capacity. The school will also be opened on Tuesday.
