Ottoman maps on display in Ankara

An exhibition displaying maps that were produced by Ottoman scholars, from admiral and cartographer Piri Reis to geographer Katip Çelebi, is on view at the Panora and Karum shopping malls in Ankara from Sept. 1 to Sept. 7.
The exhibition, prepared to commemorate the 400th birthday of Katip Çelebi, showcases 35 items, including maps and some documents about geographical discoveries.
