Turkey's İş Yatırım, an investment and securities company, announced on Friday that its profit increased by 170 percent in the first six months of the year when compared to the same period last year.
In a written statement, the company said its net profit reached TL 34 million in the first half of 2009.
İş Yatırım's assets climbed by 70.7 percent to TL 2.2 billion in the first six months of the year when compared to the same period of 2008. The firm's equity also rose by 22.5 percent to reach TL 296.2 million. Established in 1996, İş Yatırım offers investors products and services pertaining to domestic and international capital markets.
