Turkish FM visits Iraqi diplomats under medical treatment in Ankara

28 August 2009 / THE ANATOLIA NEWS AGENCY, ANKARA
Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu visited on Friday Iraqi diplomats who are getting medical treatment at Ataturk Hospital in Ankara.

Following his visit to Iraqi diplomats, Davutoğlu said Turkey would keep assisting all Iraqi people irrespective of their ethnic origin or religious sect.

Six attacks simultaneously took place in Iraq recently, and Turkish authorities held talks with Iraqi officials after these attacks, he told reporters.

30 injured Iraqis were brought to Turkey for medical treatment, Davutoğlu said.

"Turkey is ready to do what it can do for Iraq. We attach great interest in the future of Iraq. Turkey will keep extending humanitarian aid to those who need it," he said.
