27 August 2009 / THE ANATOLIA NEWS AGENCY, ANKARA
Kosovo's Minister of Foreign Affairs Skender Hyseni will arrive in Turkey on Friday upon an invitation from his Turkish counterpart Ahmet Davutoğlu.

Hyseni would be Kosovo's first foreign minister to visit Turkey since the establishment of the independent Republic of Kosovo, a statement from the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on Thursday.

As part of his two-day visit, Hyseni would hold a series of talks in capital Ankara, the statement said.

"Turkey pays special importance to the completion of institutional structures of Kosovo, friendly country, and her integration with international community, and supports her efforts in this regard," the ministry's statement also said.

Bilateral relations between Turkey and Kosovo, as well as regional and international issues of interest to both countries will be on the agenda of Hyseni's talks in Ankara.

Within the framework of his visit, Hyseni will also be received by Turkish President Abdullah Gül and Turkish Parliament Speaker Mehmet Ali Şahin.
