NATO Secretary General Rasmussen due in Ankara

NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen will visit Turkey on August 27 and 28.
Turkish Foreign Ministry stated on Wednesday that Rasmussen, who started his term in office on August 1, 2009, would pay a visit to Turkey within the scope of his tour to capital cities of NATO states.
Rasmussen will hold meetings with Turkish President Abdullah Gül, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu, National Defense Minister Vecdi Gönül and Chief of General Staff Gen. İlker Başbuğ.
Rasmussen will attend a fast-breaking dinner on Thursday with Premier Erdoğan.
Officials will also exchange views about NATO's agenda during the meetings.
