A school belonging to Zafer Mutlu, a member of Doğan Publishing Holding's administrative board and chairman of the Vatan daily, was destroyed on Sunday by the Eyüp municipality because it lacked legal construction certificates.
The Eyüp municipal council decided to destroy the school buildings of the Zeyen Mutlu foundation, founded by Zafer Mutlu on behalf of his daughter and built in the district's Kemerburgaz neighborhood. The demolition took four hours to complete. The bust of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and the Turkish flag were protected by the teams during the destruction.
