Pelin Esmer's debut feature headed for Spain

“11'e 10 Kala” (10 to 11), Turkish filmmaker Pelin Esmer's debut fictional feature, will run for the Kutxa-New Directors Award at next month's San Sebastian Film Festival in Spain.
The film is about an elderly antique collector who resides in an old building that has to be demolished and rebuilt to comply with earthquake regulations. It will run against 16 other films for the 90,000 euro award. The 57th festival will run Sept. 18-26.
