Coens' ‘Serious Man' set for Toronto film fest premiere

Ethan and Joel Coen's newest black comedy “A Serious Man,” inspired by their own childhood, and Drew Barrymore's first feature directing effort “Whip It” are among the world premieres to be screened at this year's Toronto Film Festival, Variety reported on its Web site.
Both films, among a set of 10 premieres the festival announced Tuesday, will screen as special presentations at the festival, which is slated to run Sept. 10-19 in its 34th edition.
