Ergün and Yıldız are currently in Italy to attend the "Economic and Financial Forum for the Mediterranean," hosted by the Milan Chamber of Commerce. Speaking at the meeting, Ergün said the presence of Turkish entrepreneurs in foreign countries is important. "Globalization brings various opportunities to entrepreneurs, and they should use this to their advantage."
Energy Minister Yıldız said cooperation between Turkey and Italy in energy has gradually increased, noting that Turkey expects progress in the Turkey-Greece-Italy natural gas pipeline project known as the South Corridor. Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges (TOBB) Chairman Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, who is accompanying the ministers, said that although Turkish-Italian economic relations have improved, the number of Turkish entrepreneurs in Italy is not at the desired level. Hisarcıklıoğlu called on Turkish investors to be involved in the World Turkish Business Council (DTİK) so that they can meet and cooperate with their Turkish counterparts in other countries.
