Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas in Ankara

Turkish President Abdullah Gül met with President Mahmoud Abbas of Palestine.
An official welcoming ceremony took place at the Cankaya Presidential Palace for President Abbas who is currently paying a working visit to Turkey.
President Gül and President Abbas will hold a joint news conference after their tete-a-tete meeting.
Later, President Gül will host a luncheon in honor of his Palestinian counterpart. The two leaders will attend the inauguration of Palestine's new embassy building and residence.
President Abbas is also set to meet with Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu.
He arrived in Ankara overnight and held a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
