Eastwood's Mandela film set for Dec. 11 release

Warner Bros. will open Clint Eastwood's “Invictus,” the Nelson Mandela movie starring Morgan Freeman, on Dec. 11, Variety reported on its Web site.
Adapted from John Carlin's book "Playing the Enemy: Nelson Mandela and the Game That Made a Nation," "Invictus" follows Mandela's attempt to use the 1995 Rugby World Cup to heal his nation following his release from prison, the fall of apar-theid and his election as president of South Africa.
