A man was captured at Sabiha Gökçen International Airport in İstanbul on Thursday in connection with the deaths of four members of the same family in the northwestern province of Sakarya.
Four individuals from the Yıldız family were found dead in their home early on Thursday. Police sources said the victims had been shot with a handgun. In the pocket of one of the victims, Erol Yıldız, police found a loan document in the name of Yakup Yıldız, the victim’s brother. Investigations revealed that Yakup Yıldız resided in the Netherlands but had arrived in Turkey a few days ago to visit his family. Neighbors of the Yıldız family said Erol Yıldız and Yakup Yıldız had an ongoing inheritance dispute.
İstanbul police apprehended Yakup Yıldız at the airport. The suspect was transferred to Sakarya for questioning.
