Bird flock interrupts THY flight

A Turkish Airlines (THY) plane had to return to İstanbul Atatürk Airport as it collided with a flock of birds on its way to Cologne on Friday.

The Airbus A320-200 passenger jet took off at 7:45 a.m. with 138 passengers. The plane was taken to the THY aerodrome at the airport after the encounter. The passengers were transferred to another plane and headed to Cologne at 10:05 a.m.
