Swoboda calls on Merkel not to block EU talks with Turkey

Hannes Swoboda, now a household name in Turkey for his harsh criticism of both the ruling Justice and Development Party (AK Party) and the Republican People's Party (CHP), has slammed German Chancellor Angela Merkel for her government's reported intention to block the opening of Turkey-EU talks on a negotiating chapter, which was scheduled for June 26.
