Turkish premier visits Spanish city of Cordoba

The Turkish prime minister visited on Tuesday the Spanish city of Cordoba.

Turkey's Premier Recep Tayyip Erdoğan took a high-speed train from Seville to Cordoba, and visited the city of Medinat al-Zahra and Mosque-Cathedral (Mezquita) of Cordoba.

Erdoğan later had a meeting with Cordoba's Mayor Andres Ocana, and attended a luncheon hosted in his honor by Ocana.

Premier Erdoğan is actually paying a state visit to Spain. He was received by King Juan Carlos of Spain and met his Spanish counterpart Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero in Madrid.

Erdoğan also attended a meeting hosted by the Nuevo Economia Forum in Madrid, and received Seville NODO Foundation's award from Seville's Mayor Alfredo Sanchez Menteseirin during a ceremony held in Seville.
